  3. Introduction • What is gender identity? • Terms about gender identity • Homosexuality

  4. Literature review • The reasons make who they are: Childhood Family Friend Environment

  5. Methodology • Stage 1 involved brief self introductions. • Stage 2 included individual interviews. • A research question is designed to find out how they identify themselves and what their lifestyles are.

  6. Interview questions • How do you identify yourself? • How do you identify others? • Are there any differences when you identify others? • Did any one suspect that you were another sex? • Did you ever feel panic when you identify you were another sex?

  7. Interview questions 6. Do you feel satisfied about who you are now? And why? 7. How’s your lifestyle in daily life? 8. Is there any different when you get together with lots of people? Did you try to hide the characteristics that can easily find out you are gay or lesbian?

  8. Finding and results • Some of them are a little confused about their own identities. • The rests of them think they agreed their gender that is match their sex, and it’s natural not only to be interested in the same sex, but also other sex.

  9. Brief Record • Woman A: Yeah, I’ve been a tomboy from day one. Never attracted to men, never saw anything in men. But I still afraid of other’s view on me, sometimes I felt I was hurting my mom, I was hurting my family, I was hurting myself. Because I knew it wasn’t gonna be easy. You know, I had some times when I was wondering if it was the right thing I was doing. But basically for other people’s worries more than myself. I knew it was right for me but I didn’t think it was right for them.

  10. Brief Record • Man A said that “I like girls, and there’s nothing special to talk about that. Man and woman of course should be together. But it’s okay to date with men; I had lots of experiences about that and even had sex with them. I don’t know maybe I will become “gay” after years.” (we both laugh)

  11. Conclusion Homosexuality is a point around which we cluster, let the paths for reaching that point be visible.
