  1. Shifting From Diversity and Inclusion to Diversity As the world of work continues to become more and more diverse, the importance of creating an inclusive workplace is more important than ever. Organizations that don't focus on promoting diversity are losing out on some of the most interesting and talented people in their industry.

  2. Not everyone is a fan of the diversity and inclusion movements, from a political standpoint. While we can all agree that diversity, acceptance and inclusivity are important, how we get there can be a battle. True inclusion requires that we all actively support and appreciate the diversity of the world around us. It is not enough to simply say "everyone is welcome here". We must take action to make diversity a reality. For years, we have focused our work on the diversity and inclusion of all people, not just those of the dominant majority, and this is a laudable goal. However, it must be recognized that this outcome has not been achieved. We now face a widespread lack of diversity and inclusion among all groups of people.

  3. Diversity is a key virtue of a multicultural society, but the recent political climate has shifted from inclusion to exclusion. The last few years have seen a rise in anti-immigration sentiment in the U.S., with global recruitment programs banning international students and other foreign workers from entering the U.S. In recent years, the world of intercultural and multicultural organizations has seen a shift in focus from diversity and inclusion to equity and inclusion, with goals that include eliminating poverty and creating more equal societies. This has created an increased need for people from diverse backgrounds to work together to make real change.

  4. The term "diversity and inclusion" can be a tough one to define. It's difficult to pin down precisely what the phrase means, and how it should be implemented in an organization. Nevertheless, companies have made it a priority, and are trying to shift towards a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
