Content • Foreword by the GPC chair & Vice chair • Executive summary • Joint Programming and the ERA Contribution of joint programming to the realization of the ERA, objectives, context, relation to H2020, role of MS/AS and Cion • Achievements of the GPC One brief chapter containing the results of our self-assessment exercise • Achievements of the Joint Programming Initiatives One brief chapter by each JPI to give a concrete example how they contribute to the advancement of ERA + Result of the JPI’s self-assessment • The GPC role and the Joint Programming Functions A chapter containing the executive summaries of the reports of the four working groups, focusing on their main operational recommendations, assembled according to the ‘programming functions’ scheme • Preparing for Future Challenges In this chapter we would address the issue of reviewing the GPC status and mandate and the minimum requirements for existing and (possible) new JPIs Martin Schmid

Timing • Endorsement by Council Competitiveness planned for the December 2014 meeting (Discussion on ERA) • The final report should be ready end of October • Draft report at beginning of September • Meeting of BR team in June • Work needs to commence immediately • Alternative date for endorsement by council: 1st Council Meeting under Latvian Presidency Martin Schmid
