  3. Background It’s the most celebrated scripture by both Christians and Non-Christians around the world David himself was a shepherd This Psalm was written towards the end of David’s life; it acts as a reflection Verse 1 is the thesis of the Psalm where the remaining 5 verses serve as proof to back it up It’s very easy to gloss over this Psalm and miss out on key points because it is so short

  4. I Shall Not Want What? • I shall not want doesn’t mean you’ll be… • RICH • I shall not want doesn’t mean you’ll be… HEALTHY • I shall not want doesn’t mean you’ll be…HAPPY • Hebrews 12:10

  5. How is Jesus like our Shepherd? • He leads us • Protects us • Feeds us • Loves us • Shearing • Ear marks

  6. In Closing… Can you confidently say : “THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT” • Challenge: John 10:27 – “But you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” • Can you hear His voice? • Do you follow it?
