  2. Crop wise area sown position on Kharif Pulses during Kharif 2011 as compared to last year 1. Reason of difference in Area is due to less time for sowing and frequent rain in June and 1st week July 2. Possibility to increase the area under Kulthi (Horse Gram)

  3. Crop wise production targets and Achievement / expected production on Kharif Pulses during Kharif 2011 as compared to last year.

  16. 5.3 Physical and Financial progress of 60000 village programme 2011-12 This state has not been included under 60000 village programme till date.

  17. 5.4 Phy. & Fin. Progress of E-Pest Surveillance under A3P during Kharif 2011 • Training of farmers scouts and Extension officers / Supervisor in charge of A3P units at block level imparted. • 25% expenditure was allowed to control the immediate requirement of Insects/ Pests. • Farmers scouts are earmarked the area for e-pest surveillance.

  18. 5.6 Reason for Shortfall in Achievement under NFSM-PULSES & A3P • Frequent drought spell during 2010-11 which account for less area coverage under pulses. • Unavailability of quality certified seeds of pulses. • Low uptake high cost agricultural implements by the farmers on 50% Subsidy. • Lack of knowledge / awareness among the farmers about IPM/INM. • Less number of Dealer network for IPM/INM/ High cost Agricultural implements at district/ block level. • No State Seed Corporation in Jharkhand State for the production of Quality seed.

  19. 5.7 Requirement of Additional Fund for Additional Programme of Pulses • Jharkhand should be included under 60000 Pulses village programme and for that additional fund is required in the coming Rabi season. • Requirement of 10 additional units of A3P (5 units each for Gram and Lentil) in addition to 6 units (3 units each for Gram and Lentil) proposed earlier and for that additional funds as per norms may be made available.

  20. 6. Any Other Issues Release of fund under NFSM-Pulses for which the proposal has already been sent along with the provisional Utilization Certificate
