  4. HisCareer • Piotr Gruszka’s sports career began in his hometown of Kęty. In 1989 he startedplaying volleyballand his first coaches were Andrzej Pietrzyk and Marek Błasiak. His first professional club was Hejnał Kęty. Now he is playing for Delecta Bydgoszcz.

Piotr Gruszka’s Awards • Piotr Gruszka received individual awards such as: • 1996 – The best spiker in qualifictions to Olympic Games • 2003 – The best spiker in European Volleyball Championship • 2004 – The best spiker in World League • 2005 - The best player in Polish Volleyball League • 2006 - Golden Cross of Merit - December 6th. • 2006 – The best Polish receiver • 2009 - MVP of European Volleyball Championship in Turkey • 2009 – KnightCross of the Rebirth of Poland - 14th September.
