Artistic Infographic Resource: Mastering Elements of Art

Create an engaging art resource by illustrating and defining the elements of art in a foldable infographic. Fold paper in half and cut slits to the fold to create sections for each element.   1. ELEMENTS OF ART • TODAY WE WILL CREATE AN INFO-GRAPHIC ELEMENTS RESOURSE. THIS WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR EFFORTS TO CREATE A RESOURSE WHEN CREATING ART ACCORDING TO THE STANDARD.

  2. For the elements, we are going to create this info-graphic type resource.  Lightly folding the paper in half to find the mid-way point, I'll have students fold the sides to the halfway point and then measure out seven equal sections.  From there, you will cut slits to the fold. 

  3. On the front, they will be asked to illustrate the elements of art to help them remember what they are.  On the inside, they will have to write the definition of each element.

  4. From this picture, you can see how the markers bled through the 80 lb. So we will use color pencil instead to fix the problem

  5. Here is your final product! Student example provided my 7th grade student Campbell.
