  2. Outline • Introduction • Research purpose • Conceptual framework • Methodology • Results & conclusions • Q&A Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  3. Introduction • “Remember” is not enough for student’s learning method • Bloom’s Taxonomy (1976) Higher Order Thinking Skill Evaluation Synthesis Student-centered learning : is an approach to education focusing on the needs of the student . Analysis Application Comprehension Knowledge Lower Order Thinking Skill Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  4. Problem - based learning Introduction • Commission on Higher Education (p155-158,2008) Barell (1998) Torp & Sage (1998) Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  5. Problem - based learning Process Problem - based Learning Process Synthesized by 6 procedures of Academic and Public Research Administration of Eastern Asia University (2010) Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  6. Research purpose • To examine the relationship between the PBL (Problem-based learning) processes and the achievement of students in Research Methodology course. • To examine the relationship between Learning behaviors and the achievement of students in Research Methodology course. Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  7. Problem-Based Learning: Processeswas synthesized by 6 procedures of Academic and Public Research Administration of EAU The achievement of students in Research Methodology course (50 % of score) Problem-Based Learning : PBL Activity The learning behavioral in PBL Class Conceptual framework TQF Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  8. Assumptions The percentage of average achievement was more than 50.(T-test) Assumption. 1 6 procedures PBL impact the achievement of students . (Pearson Chi-Square) Assumption. 2 Learning behavioral impact the achievement of students . (Pearson Chi-Square) Assumption. 3 Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  9. The data was gathered Research Design The achievement of students • The population was asked to answer questionnaires to accumulate • Personal data • Learning behavior Data • 6 procedures of PBL • Coefficient of Conbrac = 0.929 • Individual Assessment PBL Report. Formative assessment which consisted of 10 questions and 20 multiple-choice questions. TQF Knowledge Cognitive skill Interpersonal skill Numerical & Communication Ethic and Moral α Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  10. The data was gathered by observing 27 Student from faculty of Business Administration. Sampling Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  12. The results Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  13. The results Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  14. The results *** The results revealed that the percentage of average achievement was more than 50 by 6 procedures of Academic and Public Research Administration of Eastern Asia University has impact on the achievement of students in the class. Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  15. The results *** Refer to PranotKoachim ,the Learning behavioral that affectedto visible and invisible behavioral. But this research is founded the filtration did not influence the achievement of students. Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  16. Conclusions The results revealed that the percentage of average achievement was more than 50. This means that the 6 procedures has impact on the achievement of students in the class. On the other hand, the learning behavior perspective the results showed that only data filtration did not influence the achievement of students. Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.

  17. 2 Application • As a result the pattern and activity of learning in research methodology and other subject can help us in designing teaching plan. Relationship between PBL processes and the achievement of student’s learning in Research Methodology Course.
