  1. Grace 2 Chronicles 33:1-20

  2. We are all in need of God’s grace.

  3. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God-through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:21-25

  4. We are all in need of God’s grace. • God’s grace exceeds our wildestdreams.

  5. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8

  6. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:21-24

  7. We are all in need of God’s grace. • God’s grace exceeds our wildestdreams. • Holy living is a response to grace.

  8. What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:1-4

  9. The Parable of the River. Which son are you? • Godless living. • I’ll indulge myself. • Godless judgment. • I’ll compare myself. • Godless religion. • I’ll save myself. • Receive God’s grace. • I’ll entrust myself to you.
