This project showcases the benefits of using a mobile relay node in wireless networks. Single-hop and multi-hop transmission scenarios are explored, demonstrating that the mobile relay enhances connectivity while maintaining power efficiency. The study examines signal spectrum variations at the receiver, power consumption comparisons between direct transmission and relay-assisted transmission, and the impact of relay node mobility on transmission reliability in wireless channels.

Signal spectrum at receiver 4dB Direct transmission requires high power to maintain the connectivity of a wireless link. Power increases at least quadratically with the increase of transmission distance.
Signal spectrum at receiver 12.5dB Mobile relay enhances the connectivity of the sensor network with the same power consumption1, or alternatively, keeps the connectivity of the network with less resource consumption. 1 For fair comparison, the power consumed in direct transmission is twice of the power consumed in each hop of a two-hop link.
