  2. Objective • The students will understand how to convert rational numbers between representations. • TEKS (6.1B) The student is expected to generate equivalent forms of rational numbers including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

  3. Math Journal • Write and answer the following questions in your math journal. • What is a fraction? • What is a decimal? • What is a percent? • When is it best to use a fraction as opposed to a decimal? • When is it best to use a percent as opposed to a decimal?

  5. Jose’s parents bought eight pizzas for the math club meeting. The four officers were the only people who could attend. How much pizza would each person receive if they divided them evenly?
