  1. This is the question for #1 on the viewing guide. You conduct and experiment where you flip a coin three times in a row and record the results. Write all of the possible outcomes of this experiment. HHH, HHT, HTH, THH, HTT, THT, TTH, TTT

  2. Probability Sample Space (S) - set of all possible outcomes of an experiment. Event (e) - any subset of the sample space Probability of an event - number of ways the event can occur divided by the number of items in the sample space

  3. 1. Find the probability of flipping a coin three times in a row and getting all heads.( Hint: use your sample space from slide 1 to help you find the answer.) 2. Find the probability of pulling an ace of hearts from a standard deck of cards. 3. Find the probability of choosing one student from our class and having the student be a Shorecrest student. 4. Find the probability of choosing a 20 year old student from the students in our class.

  4. Answers to probability questions are always between 0 and 1. 0 ≤ P(e) ≤ 1 They can be written as fractions, decimals or percents. Using the opposite of an event to find a probability. The probability of a given event is equal to one minus the probability of the complement of the event. The probability of getting a 3 when rolling a die.
