Order: Let all your things have their places 4. Resolution: Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve 5. Frugality: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; waste nothing 6. Industry: Lose no time; be always employed in something; cut off all unnecessary action

  29. Values/Beliefs • Ideology – system of beliefs that justifies the social, moral, religious, political, or economic interests held by a group or society • New ideologies spread and cause Social Movements-effort to promote or prevent social change

  30. Technology • Social change also occurs when people find new ways to manipulate their environment • New inventions!!!

  31. Population • The arrival of new groups of people with their own cultural traits influences social change • Higher demand for goods and jobs • Overcrowding • The age of the general population affects social structure
