  2. Background • Born and raised in Canada • 3rd year undergraduate of International Relations and Development Studies • Actively involved with EWB since 2010 • First time to Ghana • but have been on a • various developmental • trips to Latin America • (Mexico, Nicaragua, • Dominican Republic)

My Role and Placement Goals • Role: Junior Fellow from University of Windsor EWB Chapter; conduct impact assessment of AAB • Placement Goals – Introductory Phase May 23 to June 27: • Build relationships with MADU staff • Shadow AEAs to learn about their work activities and pressures • Gain a deeper understanding of how AAB is happening at Tamale MADU, join AEAs in AAB meetings and interview staff

  4. Placement Goals Continued… • Conduct Research – July 11 to August 1 • Conduct study meetings with at least 10 FBOs and AEAs, gather data to organize and analyze • Conduct in-depth farmer interviews and going to stay with a farmer 2-3 days to collect information • 1 – week village stay to understand rural farming realities

  5. Con’t… • Assessment and Follow-up – August 2 to 16 • Compile and analyze results of the AAB Study to make recommendations for both Tamale MADU and AAB • Compile a summary report to present to district staff • Other • Assisting in report writing, computer aide, running meetings • DDA Fellowship, EWB connection
