  5. Processing • Reception of the data base in Access. • construction of an independent data base. • selection of fields to produce FTS.

  10. Successes • NSO of Mozambique is starting use programming in SPSS (Syntax) to produce Foreign trade statistics.

  11. Successes(cont) • creation group of work constituted mainly by : • NSO; • Central Bank • Customs, to improve the quality of data from customs.

  12. Challenges • The group of trade statistics is developing action with the objective of getting better data. for example the formation of the employees and agents of the Customs in data collection ; • Production of monthly statistics     .

  13. Challenges(cont) • We continued to collect data of the major importers and exporters in Mozambique to complement data from customs.

  14. Dissemination: • The statistics of the foreign trade are published in: • Electronic format • paper • CD-R • E-mail • Web Site (www.ine.gov.mz).
