  12. Sand down rough edges of block with sandpaper.

  13. Write name on bottom of block with permanent marker.

  14. Bend coat-hanger into a shape that will become your abstract form. BE CREATIVE!!!

  15. Use a small dot of wood glue to secure the coat-hanger into the block.

  16. Stretch knee-high over the coat-hanger to create a form.

  17. Coat the sculpture in liquid starch with a sponge brush several times.

  18. Choose an abstract theme and title for your piece, then paint the sculptures to represent the abstract idea.
