If not on duty –Rs 12,000 • Death due to accident on duty – Rs 7000. • In case of natural calamity, fire, floods etc- Rs 1,500 for Depttl and Rs 750 for GDS. • In case of prolonged & serious illness – Rs 10,000 for Depttl, Rs 5,000 for GDS, Rs 1,500 for CL.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – Continued…. • Suffering from TB – for self and family (incl GDS) – Rs 400 pm for nutritive diet for 6 months after discharge. • In case of out-patients – Rs 200 pm for six months. • On EXOL/HPL due to prolonged illness – Rs 1,500 pm for EXOL and Rs 750 pm for HPL. • Mechanised tricycle for handicapped – Rs 15,000 or 50% of the cost whichever is less.
SCHOLARSHIP • 55% of total Welfare funds allocated. • They are apportioned as follows: -Tech Courses 67% -Non Tech Courses 20% -School students 5% -Development of personality 5% -Physically handicapped 3%
FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN • Tech Courses :50% marks • Non Tech Courses :60% marks for Genl :50% marks for SC/ST :45% marks for GDS
SCHOOL STUDENTS • Admissible upto 12th Std • Minimum marks :75% Gnl :65% SC/ST
EXCELLANCE IN 10th STD & 12th STD • Minimum 85% marks. • 80% in cases of 12th Std Commerce and Humanities Group. • Top 5 in each Circle, with award of; 1st Rs 1000 2nd Rs 800 3rd Rs 700 4th Rs 600 5th Rs 500
SCHOLARSHIP FOR UPSC EXAM • Rs 2000 for all employees without pay restrictions. -For appearing in UPSC exam, only once for each children with 60% in qualifying exam. -for appearing in SSB interview.
DEPARTMENTAL EXAM FOR SC/ST • Rs 300 -IP Exam • Rs 200 -Jr Accountant Exam • Rs 150 -LGO Exam. • To be refunded if aggregate of 25% marks is not secured.
HIGHER EDUCATION – SC/ST • Rs 200 for appearing in 10th and 12th Std Exam, per year. • Rs 500 beyond 12th Std, subject to securing 40% marks.
DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL PERSONALITY • To pursue courses beyond 10th Std. • Rs 5,000 per annum for two years. • Conditions: -Age upto 35 years as on 1st July. -Basic Pay – less than Rs 16840. -Secure admission of his own. -Avail own leave. -Course to be at place of duty.
HANDICAPPED CHILDREN - SCHOLARSHIP • Scholarship for 8 years @ Rs 45 per month. • For Children with atleast 40% disability. • Preference to staff drawing lower rate of pay.
HANDICAPPED CHILDREN - TRANSPORT • Rs 100 pm for A Class Cities. • Rs 80 pm for other cities. • If in Hostel, the same amount is paid as subsidy. • Admissible from 1st Std to 12th Std.
EXCURSION TRIPS ORGANISED BY WELFARE INSTITUTIONS • 60% of the cost of Rail/Road fare. • Holiday trip to religious or tourist importance. • Restricted to places within 500 KM. • Maximum duration is 5 days. • Self, wife, daughters and sons are eligible. • Prior approval of Head of Circle is required.
CENTRAL POSTAL LAIDES ORGANISATION (CPLO) • Functions at Directorate and Circle level. • Grant from Circle Sports Funds as follows: -Rs 35,000 per annum – Dte level. -Rs 25,000 per annum – Circle level. • For managing Crèches, Tailoring Classes, Canteen etc.
CRECHES • Assistance to Institutions/Organistions running Creches. • Non-recurring expenditure of Rs 6000. • Recurring expenditure of Rs 2,655 per month.
TAILORING CLASS • Set up in Postal Residential Colonies for ladies. • Non recurring grant – Rs 5,000. • Remuneration to part time teacher – Rs 750 per month.
HOLIDAY HOMES • Set up through out the country. • For all employees. • Daily rent varies from Station to Station, ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 20.
POSTAL RESIDENT WELFARE ASSOCIATION • Rs 10 per quarter per annum. • Set up in Postal Residential Colonies.
RECREATION CLUB • Grant in aid – Rs 10 per head per annum from circle welfare fund. • Additional grant in aid – Rs 15 per head per annum with matching funds from members of the club.
CONTRIBUTION TO CIRCLE WELFARE FUND • By postal officials on voluntary basis. • Monthly contribution, as decided by Circles. • Contribution from Dte
CIRCLE WELFARE BOARD • President :Head of Circle • Vice-President :Officer nominated by President. • Member Secretary :Welfare Officer. • Members :a) One employee each from Postal, RMS and Administrative Wing. b) One rep from each federation.
CIRCLE POSTAL SPORTS BOARD • President :Head of Circle • Vice-President : All Regional PMGs. • Secretary :Nominated by President • Joint Secretary :Nominated by President • Members :a) Two employees at Circle HQ. b) 4 to 20 representatives from Divisional Board.
DIVISIONAL POSTAL SPORTS BOARD • Chairman :Head of the Division. • Members : 5 to 10 employees.
INCENTIVE FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES • Special Casual Leave • Cash award for participation in international event. • Cash award for 1st, 2nd, 3rd position at National level. • Cash award for participation at National level. • Refreshment Allowance • Daily Allowance • Kit Allowance. • Award for best Sportsman, best Sportswoman and best contribution to sports.
