Background: EQF, Tuning och ECTS
Arcada was in 2004, as the first polytechnic in Finland, awarded the European ECTS quality label.
The label requires e.g.
- clear descriptions of what competence each degree programmes represents
During 2005 the degree programmes at Arcada have been streamlined with the aim of obtaining a clear structure and programmes that are easily comparable and easier to combine.
EQF level 6 to the descriptor developed for the first cycle (Bachelor level)
EQF level 7 to the descriptor developed for the second cycle (Masters level)
EQF level 8 to the descriptor developed for the third cycle (PhD level).
