  3. CLG Benefits • Compete for Historic Preservation Fund Grants • Funds this year = $1,304.638. • The State received 15 grant applications selected nine local governments to receive grants totaling $209,300 • Grant monies may fund historic surveys

  4. CLG Requirements • Enforce appropriate state and local laws and regulations …that protects historic properties; • Establish an HPC; • Maintain survey and inventory of historic properties; • Provide for public participation in preservation program; • Perform responsibilities delegated to it by the state.

  5. Staff Recommendation 1.Adopt a resolution authorizing the City to file an application under the Certified Local Government Program. 2. Authorize the City to submit all documents within the scope of the application for certification.
