  2. Is your hair thin, delicate, damaged or fine? Our flat iron has variable temperature settings so you can control the heat and keep the iron from getting too hot. Is your hair thick and hard to straighten? A fixed temperature would be a good choice for you so you can crank up the heat on those pesky pieces that just won’t straighten Is your hair is somewhere in between? Most likely you will be fine with either choice. My personal preference is a variable setting, I like to control ;) Does it create curls?Most flat irons today will create curls, but the curls are only as good as the user who creates them. Ceramic/Ionic Almost all professional grade flat irons are Ceramic and Ionic these days. This technology is important in generating negative ions to smooth the hair cuticles. What you may not realize is NONE of the flat iron plates are 100% Ceramic. Our straightener is & it has materials to straighten and smooth the hair.

The conducting layers of the circuit board is made of thin paper coil 2.)The plate is usually made out of aluminum with a ceramic coating 3.)The wire is 80% nickel and 20% chromium because it has to resist the heat so it doesn’t melt so the hair straightener doesn’t break 4.) This is some kind of rope covered with a strong wavy material to protect the wire.

  6. Preliminary results indicate that the thermoelectric voltage output of a thin-film CrSi versus TaC thermocouple is 15 times that of the standard type R (platinum-rhodium versus platinum) thermocouple, producing 20 mV with a 200 °C temperature gradient.
