  5. CERTIFICATE UPGRADES “Level” of Certificate Based on Highest Degree 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 $5K - $6K Per Degree -- 3rd in Nation for Advanced Degree Compensation Accredited College, Degree in Any Field – Bottom in Nation for Compensation Standards ROI, Enhanced Student Learning & School Improvement

  7. CERTIFICATE UPGRADES • Must Have A Better Connection Between: • Advanced Degrees, • Salary Increases, and • Student Achievement

  8. CERTIFICATE UPGRADES FOR ALL FIELDS EXCEPT LEADERSHIP Advanced Degree MUST: Be in Existing Certificate Field (In-Field) OR Add a New Certificate Field State-Approved Certificate Program Pass GACE and Add New Field

  9. CERTIFICATE UPGRADES FOR IN-FIELD UPGRADES Institution MUST: If In-State PSC-approved, or Carnegie Classification of RU/VH or RU/H If Out-of-State NCATE, or TEAC, or Carnegie Classification of RU/VH or RU/H RU/VH -- Research University/Very High Research Activity

  10. CERTIFICATE UPGRADES FOR NEW FIELD UPGRADES Institution and Degree Program MUST: If In-State PSC-approved If Out-of-State State-approved, AND NCATE, or TEAC, or Carnegie Class of RU/VH or RU/H **GACE ASSESSMENT, PHYSICALLY ADD THE CERTIFICATE

CERTIFICATE UPGRADES GRANDFATHERING If Paid for Upgrade by Effective Date, Keep $ Increase If Enrolled by July 1, 2011, Upgrade by Existing Rule UNDER DISCUSSION Need to Create New Certificate Fields? Curriculum & Instruction Teacher Leader Instructional Technology Optional or Required Certificates?
