  1. 歡“樂”時光 – 英文歌唱比賽 (Singing Contest) 活動宗旨 : 透過英文歌曲優雅的旋律與歌詞,以多樣的管道,來提升學生學習英文的興趣,並營造校園英文學習的歡樂氣氛. 活動時空 : 高二12月15日(三) 12:10~13:20, 高一12月16日(四) 12:10~13:20於中正館進行比賽. (並在12月17日(五) 7:30~8:00於中正館進行決賽.) 比賽方式 : 每班必須組一隊參賽,並填妥報名表,註明英文隊名及選定參賽的歌曲;比賽時,可自備伴唱樂器,並可適度造型打扮; 每年級取六名,前三名進入決賽,第4,5,6名,當場頒發獎狀及獎金. 指定歌曲 : 共挑選七零年代風靡全球的‘木匠兄妹(Carpenters)’合唱團歌曲10首為指定曲,比賽前十日發放歌詞,並於每天午餐時間播放. 評分標準 : 英文發音咬字(40%),演唱技巧(30%),團體默契(15%),服裝造型(15%) 報名辦法 : 報名日-12月9日(週四),第六節前將報名表交至教務處黃麗品小姐處; 並於12月13日(週一)第三節下課,各班代表來教務處抽籤,以決定比賽出場順序, 未派員班級由教務處人員代為抽籤. 比賽報到 : 比賽當日12:10前至比賽會場報到,並依序準備出場.

On radio and in record stores, the music of this brother-sister duo was synonymous with pop rock hits of the period. Starting with "(They Long To Be) Close To You", then on to "Top Of The World" and finally "Please Mr. Postman", Richard and Karen Carpenter not only scored these chart-topping singles during the first half of the decade, but accumulated a record-breaking amount of no.2 songs, including their signature "We've Only Just Begun", the haunting "Superstar", and the very popular "Yesterday Once More". The Carpenters were as well-received in many other countries too, extensively touring not only the United States but Japan and Great Britain, just to name a few.
