  2. Technology For Teens A needed aspect of daily life used for communication, information gathering, entertainment, translations and pictures. The technology involving the development, maintenance, and use of computer systems, software, and networks for the processing and distribution of data.

  3. Examples of Technology Used PVRs (Personal Video Recorders) are used in day to day life to record movies, shows, music etc. iPads, iPhones and iPods are used in day to day life. Teens have become very dependent on them and their features of games, communication and internet access.

  4. Examples of Technology Used Gaming Systems are used to play video games for entertainment. Most also have internet access. Laptops are used for almost everything. Entertainment, education, communication and to find certain information.

  5. Positive Effects of Technology • Communicate with other people; make friends. • Always have contact with parents. • Most electronics have dictionaries which help if a certain word isn’t familiar to the person. • Help gather information.

  6. Negative Effects of Technology • Spend too much time (even in school) sending messages to each other, playing games or going on Facebook. • Don’t pay attention to school while they are on their systems. • Not all information sources are true; teens tend to take information from wrong sources.
