Interpreting the Non Verbal Message • Don’t just look, but SEE • Consider the persons normal physical and verbal patterns and be alert for variations from that norm • Remember that one signal alone means nothing; what you’re looking for are clusters of signals
Tone of Voice • Pitch and timbre of a persons voice • Give same words different meanings • Example word… “oh” • How many meanings?
