  1. Welcome to the Friends of Warcop School

  2. What We Do • The Friends have been going for over 40yrs helping to make Warcop School a fantastic school for your child. • We are a few parent/helpers who give up some of their spare time to raise money to help provide extra equipment and resources to the school. • During the last year we have provided the animal murals for the toilets, computer equipment, contributions towards transport for trips, sandpit for class 1, 2 new trikes and other outdoor play equipment.

  3. Members On our committee we have a Chairperson, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary and other members/helpers who also play an equally important role. We are a friendly fundraising group that are willing to give that extra time to help.

  4. Current Officers Chairpersons – Sarah Lofthouse/Maria Taylor Treasurer – Gillian Brass Secretary – Rosie Wright

  5. Meetings • We hold an AGM every year in Autumn term • There are usually 3 – 4 meetings a year either held at school or at Sandford Arms. • Not everybody needs to attend every meeting but we do need at least 4 members to attend so decisions can be made. • We try to make meetings informal and social

  6. Future for the Friends We need to raise more funds for ICT equipment as information technology changes rapidly Transport is becoming more and more expensive! We feel that all children benefit from high quality educational trips e.g Oliver theatre trip should have cost £30 per child with the subsidy from FOWS and another grant we have kept the cost at £12 Template

  7. Our Past Fundraisers Include: • Fashion Shows • Christmas Fair • Summer Fete • Quiz Nights • Cheese & Savoury Evenings • Raffles • Hog Roast • Themed Nights • School Sport Events - refreshments

  8. What can you do in the future? Are you willing to spare a little time? Have you any new ideas? Would you like to join us to help provide more opportunities for your child?
