swimming • My sport is swimming. Swimming helps you stay afloat or above water without drowning. My favourite stroke is breaststroke. You swim breaststroke by a strong pull, froglike kick and then a long glide. Swimming gives you an opportunity to spend some good time with your friends and have fun.
Equipment needed for swimming • For swimming you need: • Bathers • Goggles • Swimming cap • Kick board • Pull buoy • Flipper/fins • Hand paddles • Drinks to keep you hydrated
about swimming • In swimming there are 4 different strokes you can do. They are; breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke and butterfly. In swimming there are lanes separating each person. There are normally 1-9 lanes, they help you not injure yourself or anyone else or run in to someone. Not all pools but most of them have a deep and a shallow end. On the outside of the pool at the deep end they normally have starting blocks.
Swimming pool • There are normally 1 to 9 lanes in a swimming pool.
Rules for swimming • Don’t dive in the shallow end • Listen to the teacher or instructor • Do not get in the water unless you have been told to • Watch where others are in the water before you dive in • Be on time for training sessions
