  1. Improving Charged Hadrons in CES/CPR After charged hadron showers are simulated in CEM/CHA, use regions and CES vs CPR data histogram to simulate everything including correlations 4-5 GeV

  2. Improving Charged Hadrons in CES/CPR Throw random number based on 2D plot

  3. CPR/CES Simulation update Bugs fixed in all inputs to CES/CPR simulation, EM, HAD, Track P, now look reasonable. Now working on implementing histograms…

  4. CPR/CES Simulation update Sunghyun implemented as a test a 10x10 data histogram Low statistics test of simulation

  5. CPR2 Simulation update Backup slides

  6. CPR2 Simulation update Jun Suh and Sunghyun Chang are the main developers. Run number switch works, >190000 gets new detector Simulation of old detector was only used for 1 plot! How often does at least one of the two photons from a ° give a 1 MIP hit? Analyses with electrons used data for all studies. Conversions, Pions from Ks, …

These are the same for the east and west sides. CPR2 Simulation update These curves depend on geometry and decay kinematics, not much more. Geometry looks good in new simulation.

  8. CPR2 Simulation update Simulation is convolution of MIP histogram with NMIPS from Geant. + = Run I Version, looks the same. Many soft brem photons in W events could cause problem. Typical Cut, Analyses Not Sensitive to Details

  9. CPR2 Simulation update • This was declared working for photon physics in April, has been in use by photon group to determine the new pi0 background subtraction. • After this relatively simple step, we got ambitious… • Decided to try to: • Improve charged hadron simulation for CPR • Improve charged hadron simulation for CES • Include correlations between CES/CPR/CEM/CHA • Create the first Crack Detector simulation

  10. CPR2 Simulation update I don’t have simulated plots to show… Just last week we fixed two bugs and got numbers in CESD and CPRD Input EM and HAD to simulation looks funny Korean group and I have instant message meetings 2-3 times per week, we’ve made steady progress since Sungyhun went back to Korea in September

  11. Track Pt Sample of Z->ee data with 1 track in crack, used for CCR studies and simulation.

  12. CCR Studies >95% Efficient in all Wedges Input to simulation

  13. CCR Simulation I don’t have simulated plots to show… Jun is making Z-> ee samples for checking
