This reflection details my journey in understanding the TPACK framework (Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge) in the context of teaching Mathematics and French. Initially confident in my subject knowledge, I discovered the importance of integrating technology and pedagogy effectively. I explored learning theories, particularly Constructivism, and began to use various educational technologies like Khan Academy and Google Play for Education. Through this process, I recognized the diverse needs of learners and felt empowered to enhance my teaching practices for the future.

At first, I was confident enough to saythat I knewmost of the contente in Mathematics and French. • I alsothought I wascomfortableenough to be in a classroomeven if I didn’t know everything about pedagogy. • For the technologycircle, I knew the baic, like how to use a computer and a tablet, but I wasawarethat I need to learnway more thanthis. • TCK: I had a good idea on how I could use technology in bothsubjects. • PCK: I thought I couldteach to studentseffiently. • TPK: I didn’treally know how I couldbringthesetwo parts together.
I amnowreallycomfortable of teachingMathematics, even to grade 12 students. • I tooktwoMath Classes thissemester. • I have been tutoring for the past 3 months and I know enough about the subject to help studentsfrom K-12. • I have been using the Program of studies to make sure I wasaware of whateachstudentwaslearning. The biggestimprovement for the Pedagogycircleisrelated to the Learning theories. • Module 10 helped me to understandeachtheory, since I had to understandwhattheywere to find the right application for each one of them. • I think I have alsofound the theorythatsuits me the most: Constructivism. • Plus, I had to use the Program of studiesfor tutoring, so I am more aware of whatmystudents are learning. I now know that I can use a lot of different types of technology to support mylessons and myteaching. • I knew about the Smart boards. • I now know about the Nexustablet and Google Play for Education. • It isstill the area where I feel the least comfortable, but I amready to learn how to use it. technology
My new TPACK TPK: This area isstill a bit confusing, but I figuredthatusing Khan Academy for a fippedclassroomwouldbe a greatway to mix technology and pedagogytogether. I think a big part of this section istrying to findwhathelpsourstudents the most in the waythey are learning. technology Pedagogy TCK: Compare to the beginning of the semester, I feellikeitwouldbeeasier for me to find the appropriatetechnology for the subject I willbeteaching. (Khan Academy, Geogebra, Math Playgroung, Calculators, etc.) PCK: I rememberthat I wasprettycomfortablewiththis area, but I thinklearning about the theories and a little more about the program makes me feeleven more comfortable of teaching Math.
