  1. Nazi Aggression and Appeasement • February 20-21, 2014 • Objective: Students will examine the policy of appeasement towards Germany prior to World War II to determine its effectiveness in avoiding war through centers, texts and written response. • Warm-Up: Read over your prepared report on Hitler’s state of mind. With a colored pencil, note the most convincing evidence to support your argument on whether Hitler was sane or not and underline. Be prepared to convince someone with this evidence.

  2. Literacy Centers • You will begin at the center where you are and continue with your group to the next center in numerical order. Follow the instructions on the desks and refer to the text. • You will have 5 minutes at each station. • Use complete sentences.

  6. Policy of Appeasement 1. In your notebook, summarize the Policy of Appeasement in Europe from 1933-1939 according to the text. 2. What historical factors may have contributed to this policy?

  7. Multiple Choice Question 1. Create one multiple choice question based on the text. 2. Provide 4 possible answers. 3. Circle the correct answer. 4. Write your name on the paper. 5. Give to Mrs. Dolinger.

Predict all possible consequences for your strategy. 3. Decide on a course of action. 4. Write this in your notebook.
