  1. PRESENTED TO:

  2. Goal of 247Technologies • The company was registered in 1996, specifically to specialise in the development of biometric products. • The core business is software development, support and training for Access Control and Time and Attendance solutions. • Peter-John Krauspe has 25 years IT and telecommunication experience from corporate background. • Until now majority sales through reseller channel and security product distributors • The company is looking to find exposure for with a marketing partner / distributor to market all its products, preferably one with national coverage and franchisees.

  3. Agenda • 247Technologies history • Access control for crime barriers products • Time and Attendance products and accessories • How these products would enhance the sales and of the Trellicor product range through it’s franchisees which would also obviously increase profitability of the franchisor as well. • Giving the marketing edge to a company already in the security barrier business as it will be shown that biometrics WILL BE the next level in the attempt to find total security. • Suggestions on possible ways for both parties to gain mutual benefit from the association.

  4. The Reality • Biometrics is definitely going to replace and or supplement KEYS in the future. See the biometric revolution. • Crime will escalate through desperate people, • Around 40-60% of real unemployment, • Almost non-existent law enforcement, • A near terminal justice system, • The majority of soft targets are residential properties, schools, elderly and handicapped in particular. • Security thus becomes more vital than ever before. • “Its only a question of time” and time can mean the difference between life and death.

  5. The Drawbacks • KEYS - disadvantages • Can be easily be lost and / or stolen or duplicated. This results in new keys to be cut, locks to be changed, and installation and call-out fees • Ex-employees or past residents such as in hotels, walking off with keys, making access vulnerable, again leading to the replacement on locks. • Duplication and control of multiple keys such as in complexes leads to uncontrolled access points, and no accountability of person responsible for protection of all keys. • During an emergency if a person is being chased it would be difficult for that victim to open a door and raise an alarm before being overwhelmed by an intruder. This can be due to any of the following: • Sticky key, bent key, incorrect insertion or key, fumbling in panic, key not available (in a handbag), keyhole being obstructed by foreign matter, slow unlocking process due to double, dirty or old lock mechanism. • No control of record keeping with a key.

  6. Advantages • KEYLESS – biometric access control device • Cannot be lost, stolen or duplicated. No loss of new keys, locks or call-outs. Registration is immediate and likewise deletion of users and administrators. • Easy deletion of unwanted finger prints from Ex-employees or past residents such as in hotels. • No duplication and control of multiple keys such as in complexes. This enables control of all access points, and full accountability of person responsible for protection of access points. • During an emergency if a person is being chased it would be easier for that victim to open a door by biometric consent as the maximum time to be recognised by the device is no more than 1-3 seconds depending on the number of prints stored. • A duress finger can be registered enabling an automatic silent or audible alarm to be activated.

  7. Additional Product Benefits • KEYLESS – biometric access-control device • No need to carry keys when jogging, walking a dog, surfing etc. • Added options include RF-Id card, pin code, and facial biometrics, ideal for visitors and temporary staff. • System provides full audit trail with record keeping, and never lies • The system does not favour race, colour, class, or buddies • Replaces keys and ID books • Giving keys to children is a risk, however the whole family can be registered without any risk. • Deters unwanted visitors • Can utilise system to track full Time and Attendance through to any payroll system. • The system restricts access control through a setup of a time periods • Ideal for restricting access points, such as swimming pools, creches, parks, walk-in safes, board rooms, store rooms, police evidence rooms, gun-safes, etc.
