One Opportunity

1. My chance came right before half time. The ball was thrown poorly, but I made a diving out-of-bounds catch dragging one foot in-bounds to secure the pass right by the end zone. Finally, after earning Practice Player of the Week Award in the final week of the regular season, I felt it was finally going to be my time. As the season progressed, I was a starter, but continued to never see a pass thrown to me. Although I got a decent amount of playing time as a wide receiver my first year of varsity football, I never got any passes thrown my way. Determined to have a more successful senior season, I worded out hard over the offseason. Our football team had a very successful running game, so there were not many opportunities to catch a pass in a game for anyone. On the Line On the Line 2 Off the Line Catch 1 Block Out Catch 2 I continued to never get a pass thrown to me. I was not very involved my first year of playing varsity football. Finally I got my chance. In the beginning of my football career, everything went well. One Opportunity Everyone agreed that we had the perfect season. Frosh Sack Frosh INT Parents and Me As a freshman playing football for Rochester Adams, a traditionally perennial team, I was an immediate contributor on defense. I was involved on almost every defensive play for the league champion team. After the Game After winning this game our team finished the regular season 9-0 and went on to play in the state semi-finals.
