  1. Acid – Base Titrations

  2. Neutralization reaction – An acid-base reaction

  3. Titration – A technique in which a solution of known concentration is used to determine the concentration of another solution

  4. Standard solution – A solution in which the concentration is accurately known

  5. Buret – A device used for the accurate measurement of the delivery of a given volume of a liquid or solution.

  6. Equivalence point – The point in a titration when enough titrant has been added to react exactly with the substance in solution that is being titrated.(moles acid = moles base)

  7. Determine the volume of 0.100M NaOH needed to titrate 50.0 mL of 0.200 M HNO3. Moles acid=moles base M=moles L Ma x La = Mb x Lb

  8. Calculate the volume of 0.3000M HCl needed to titrate 75.00mL of 0.200M KOH(aq).

  9. What volume of 16M sulfuric acid must be used to prepare 1.5L of a 0.10M H2SO4 solution?
