  1. Will not exceed 3 inches in bulk or prevent proper wear of the hat Will not touch the eyebrows when groomed FEMALE HAIR STANDARDS Hair will be styled to present a professional appearance It will not extend in length on all sides below an invisible line drawn parallel to the ground at the bottom edge of the shirt collar at the back of the neck.

  2. MALE HAIR STANDARDS Hair will have a tapered appearance on both sides and back A tapered appearance is one that when viewed from any angle outlines the individual’s hair so that it conforms to the shape of the head, curving inward to the termination point. Will not touch the eyebrows and will not protrude below the front band of the hat Hair will not touch the ears at any point Sideburns, will not extend below the lowest Inner opening of the ear Only closely cut or shaved hair may touch the collar

  3. Ladies: • Do not have to cut their hair. • It has to be put up so the hair does not extend below the bottom edge of the collar. • All hair ornaments must match the color of the hair. • No unnatural hair dyes. • The hair style cannot interfere with the wearing of the flight cap.

  4. Male Haircuts: Not touching ears Tapered on sides (1/4 inch at bottom) Not touching collar No Bowl Cuts No Unnatural Dyes No long sideburns (Cannot extend beyond the bottom opening of the ear.)

  6. Nametag goes on the right side and is located 1 ½ inches above or below the second button, centered between middle and shoulder seam. The bottom of the ribbons lines up with the bottom of the nametag. The ribbons are centered between the middle and the shoulder seam White upper undergarments must be worn. (Sports bra best). Must wear a white V-neck t-shirt under the blouse

  7. Nametag goes over the right pocket, centered and flush with the top of the pocket. The ribbons go over the left pocket, centered and flush with the top of the pocket. A white V-Neck T-shirt must be worn underneath the shirt. FOR OTHER AWARDS: Ask either the Chief, the Colonel, or a cadet staff officer.

  8. * Enlisted Ranks will have no hat insignia on the flight cap Note 1
