Yusuf Alaihi salaam’s Childhood • إِذۡ قَالَ يُوسُفُ لِأَبِيهِ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّى رَأَيۡتُ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوۡكَبً۬ا وَٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ رَأَيۡتُہُمۡ لِى سَـٰجِدِينَ #4 • (Behold yusufalaihi salaam said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!“) • The brothers thought that Yaqoob As loved Yusuf As more then his other sons • brother‘s jealousy and evil planning to kill Yusuf As • Yaqoob As avoided to send Yusuf As with the brothers but they insisted • pushed Yusuf As into the well and got happy • told a fake story to their father by showing him a fake bloody shirt

  5. YusufAlaihi Salaam’s Childhood • Patience of Yaqoob As • lessons learned: • fire of jealousy can never satisfy the thirst of greed • fruit of patience gives the sweetness of this world and hereafter

Yusuf Alaihi Salaam in Egypt • Aziz of Egypt was farsighted and he soon realized that Yusuf As is not an ordinary child • ALLAH swt had blessed Yusuf As with prophet-hood and gifted him with the knowledge of The Interpretation of Dreams … • Yusuf As was incredibly handsome –his appearance became a test for him • Yusuf As found himself trapped in the tricks of the wife of Aziz … • When she was caught chasing Yusuf As-blamed him instead • ALLAH proved the innocence of Yusuf As –the shirt was torn from behind • Out of the fear of shame from the society Aziz – put Yusuf As behind bars

Yusuf Alaihi Salaam in Egypt • Lessons learned : • One can only control NAFS E AMARAA with the help of ALLAH ,seek refuge in ALLAH from the evil of the NAFS E AMARAA • If your blessing becomes a source of trial from ALLAH stay steadfast and ALLAH’S help will surely come • Never accept the invitation towards evil even if it is coming from a person of higher rank then you

  8. Yusuf Alaihi Salaam in Jail • An Infant provides testimony and bears witness to his innocence. • Yusuf As said “My Lord! Prison is dearer to me than that towards which they urge me”. • He chose imprisonment till his innocence was clear to every one -like daylight. • Fellow prisoners considered him a man of piety – He interpreted dreams of fellow inmates that came true (Chef & bartender) making everybody believe in him. • Yusuf As requests the bartender: “Mention me in the presence of king”-Satan caused him to forget -7 more years of in prison

  9. Yusuf Alaihi Salaam in Jail • “Tawakkul” – faith and trust in Allah …. Although seeking help or intercession of another human being is not counter to ‘tawakkul’, yet it was not in keeping with Yusuf As exalted status as a prophet of Allah. What is permissible, even commendable for the ordinary believer-deemed a lapse for those near to Allah. • “And the king said: “I have seen seven fat cows being eaten by seven lean ones, and seven ears of grain which are green and (seven) others which are dry.- kings dream • lessons learned : • Trust ALLAH ALONE • And no matter how adverse conditions you may be in, never stop CALLING PEOPLE TOWARDS ALLAH ,

Kingdom of Egypt • The king appointed Yusuf Alaihi salaam as the Treasurer of Egypt • Aziz ‘s wife confessed her crime –this was done to prove it to Aziz that Yusuf As had not betrayed him. • Famine arrived and the step brothers came to the court of Yusuf As –they didn’t recognize him . • Yaqoob As ,took ALLAH’s oath from his sons in the case Binyamin and instructed his sons that each enter from a different door–evil eye is a REALITY . • Yusuf As got reunited with Binyamin ,and chose to detain his brother over false charges of theft • Yaqoob As upon hearing the news said SABR UN JAMEEL –PATIENCE IS BEAUTIFUL

Kingdom of Misr • Yusuf As made his brothers recall their crime against him when he was a kid and forgave them for their evil actions –supplicated to ALLAH seeking their forgiveness. • Yusuf As got reunited with Yaqoob As - all his brothers fell down in prostration to Yusuf As –THE fulfilment of the childhood dream • Lessons learned : • ALLAH is with the one who is patient and just • Forgiveness is better then revenge • Evil eye is REALITY ,precaution :dua ,trust in ALLAH and no unnecessary display of the blessing • Always be grateful to ALLAH behind every trial is a test of patience. • Everything good is from the ALLAH and everything bad is from SATAN

  12. فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَنتَ وَلِىِّۦ فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأَخِرَةِ‌ۖ تَوَفَّنِى مُسۡلِمً۬ا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ O my Lord! Thou hast given me (something) of sovereignty and hast taught me (something) of the interpretation of events - Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protecting Friend in the world and the Hereafter. Make me to die submissive (unto Thee), and join me to the righteous. (101)  إِنَّمَآ أَشۡكُواْ بَثِّى وَحُزۡنِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ He said: "I only complain of my distraction and anguish to Allah(86)
