  1. Tentative Contractual Agreement between WVEA and WVUSD Terms and ConditionsJuly 1st 2012-June 30th 2015

Tentative Agreement • WVEA represented employees shall take furlough days (dates to be determined) as follows; • Two (2) days in the 2012-2013 school year (-1.08%) • Four (4) days in the 2013-2014 school year (-2.16%) or (-1.08%) • Four (4) days in the 2014-2015 school year (-2.16 % or (0%) • The imposition of furlough days will not result in a permanent reduction of the school year.

  3. Furlough Day Of the four (4) furlough days in the 2013/2014 school year, two (2) days will be subject to possible buyback under the criteria described further in this section. All four (4) days in the 2014/2015 school year would be subject to the same buyback criteria.

  4. Furlough Day Criteria • Buy back criteria: Upon completion of the sale of the real estate referred to as “Site D”, furlough days will be restored on the basis of one (1) day for every $300, 000 of proceeds approved by SAB for this purpose, not to exceed $1, 800,000.

  5. Contractual Language Changes • School Calendar (Change) 4.1.1 Collective bargain calendar; start and end dates, number of pay periods, dates for modified school year, academic impact. • Parent Conferences ( Change) 4.2.1.6 Parent Conferences ( k-5) 4 minimum days, (2013-2014 and 2014-2015) • 4/5 Music Instruction (No Change) 4.2.1.3 Retain current language 4/5 music and prep. • 4.6 Open house (Change) 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15* Open house shall be held or not, as determined by site votes, in all three years. If all furlough days are restored in the 2014/2015*school year, all sites will have an Open House. • 4.11 Extended Day Kindergarten (Change) 4.11 Extended Day Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten/Dual Immersion 4.11.5 Kindergarten class size shall not exceed 24 per class. • Article 15 Transfer (Change) 15.2.3.3 and 15.3.4.2 Eliminate Language
