  2. Mars is the planet fourth in order from the Sun and like Venus is the nearest to the Earth. The distance from the Sun is 228 mln. km. The year on Mars lasts 687 days, the day on Mars lasts 24 hours 37 minutes. Mars has two satellites.

  3. Settlements on Mars The way people will live on Mars is expected to be almost the same as that on the Earth, since both planets have much in common: Mars as well as Earth has an atmosphere.

  4. Crew’s comfort As we spend a lot of time away from the Earth on board the spaceship it must have all facilities for the crew’s comfort and safety such as screens; a space hall for relaxation after a hard-working day, a pet corner; a hall which will imitate a place somewhere on the Earth.

  5. To stay healthy during the journey! We’ll have a garden on board the spaceship where we’ll grow apples, oranges, bananas, potatoes, onions, different berries. Our garden will produce oxygen as well. Of course, we’ll have a lot of food in tubes: soup, pasta, jam, tea.
