  2. What is a Food Chain? • A series of events in which one organism eats another to obtain energy!

  3. What is a food web? • Many overlapping food chains in an ecosystem!

  4. What is a producer • A Plant!

  5. What is a consumer? • An organism that obtains energy by feeding on another organism!

  6. What is a primary consumer • First level consumer- eats producer (must be an omnivore or herbivore---NO CARNIVORES)

  7. What is a Tertiary Consumer • An organism at the top of the food chain- eats secondary consumers

  8. Carnivores… • Eat only meat!

  9. Herbivores • Eat only plants

  10. Omnivores • Eat plants and animals

  11. STUDY • Look over Ecology study guide • Review food chain/food web packet • Visit classroom webpage and click on “Resources” for Quia games-select Ecology review game
