  2. Routine Activity • Held 4 DICOM workshops on 5/20, 7/10, 9/08/ , and 11/25 this year. • Attended DICOM SC meetings, in Yokohama, Barcelona, and Chicago. • MISAT: 30+ individual members and 10+ group members.Continue to promote more members to joint MISAT • Update the activity information for DICOM/Taiwan website (www.dicom.org.tw).

  3. DICOM/IHE promotions in 2006 • Held workshops in four areas: Northern (Taipei台北 on 5/20), Eastern (Yilan宜蘭 on 7/10), , Southern (Tainan台南 on 9/08), and Middle ( Chunhwa彰化 on 11/25) Taiwan. (~300+ people) • IHE success implement story in hospital, Introduction of DICOM, IHE panel discussion

  4. Lecture presented by Dr. Yang of Kaoshiung V.A. Hospital IHE Panel Discussion

  5. IHE promotion in Taiwan • Success PACS/IHE implementation stories for Tri-Service General Hospital, Kaoshiung V.A. Hospital, Chi-Zi Hospital, and Sin-Lau Hospital • WADO application in Medical Informatics Systems • Compression, Image Display Function, Security…..

  6. DICOM Promotion • Help National Health Insurance Bureau (NHI) to implement the Internet Pre-Operation Insurance Claim System with DICOM/HL-7 standard • PKI for Secure Inter-Hospital Information Exchange • Mechanism of Digital Signature and Encryption for DICOM Object Security Profile • Popularize the UTF-8 Chinese characters of DICOM standard • BSMI (Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection ) supports this project.

  7. Proposed Work Items (2007) • Prepare and announce IHE Taiwan(2007) TF draft for public comment thru internet. • Local product venders (Software and LCD display) and international product venders • IHE Connect_A_thon and Demonstration will be held on March 2007 conjunction with RSROC Annual Meeting during 03/24~03/26 at V.A. General Hospital in Taipei ) • Prepare for DICOM WG10 and SC Meeting during 03/22~03/23, and maybe IHE-AO or other WG Meeting ?)

  8. Proposed Work Items • DICOM Training Notes Editing: Lecture Notes collected from local DICOM conference and Workshop • Provide some sugestions to government in the application of DICOM standards. • DICOM workshop and conference in 2007: • Introduction of DICOM-2006 and application examples • Dicom-dir for Inter-Hospital Information Exchange • Digital Signature and Encryption • Dicom Implementation in Hospital
