  5. Scenario • Large collection of digital music and want to share it with roommates and be able to share with each other. • Want to play music with stereo system in living room • Running wire is undesired.

  6. Network Attached Storage (NAS) • Data easily shared over LAN.

  7. AirTunes • Apple’s Airport Express • Create/join wireless network • Integrated into iTunes. • Digital audio streamed to remote speakers. • Compresses audio stream on the fly using Apple’s Lossless Compression and encrypts data streams

  8. DLNA • Digital Living Network Alliance • International, cross-industry collaboration. • Seamless interoperability between network of PCs and consumer electronics.
