  1. Situated on the sprawling picturesque landscape at Suri ,BIET is the first degree level engineering college in the district of Birbhum. The sacred mission of the Institution is to impart high quality technical education and to create expert techno-professionals. Birbhum Institute of Engineering & Technology was established by ICARE Birbhum in 2000 with HonourablePadmashree Professor Late (Dr.) RamaranjanMukherji as its Chairperson. Since then this Govt-aided non-profitable and TEQIP-II project funded organization has been striving for perfection and excellence with the guidance from eminent academician Professor AmitabhaGhosh , Former Director,IIT,Kharagpurand presently Chairman , BOG, BIET. We are privileged to have Professor AjoyRay,VC,BESU as an eminent member of our Board of Governors.   ……..UG (B.Tech.) The department is not only sound in pedagogical domain but also has upheld itself as a frontrunner in various projects and other related activities.
