How Cars Have Improved In the early 1900’s the vehicles were all wooden coaches pulled by horses. As they progressed they started being made out of steel and aluminum. Some cars use Aluminum body panels and steel chassis. Some cars use aluminum body panels and aluminum chassis. Low Carbon steel is used sometimes and boron steel is used by some car companies because of its strength. Most companies now though are using less steel and using Plastic, Fiber glass, Carbon fiber and Aluminum.
Why They Were Improved Improving cars and building them with a stronger material was a very smart thing to do. Safety is a huge issue, and in accidents, bad weather and other factors, wood was very weak, strong metals like steel and aluminum holds up much better. It also looks better with a nice paint job.
