Brief Intro Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., more commonly known as Lemborghini, is an Italian automobile manufacturer of luxurious sports cars, world-renowned for creating high-performance, classy, high velocity sport cars that compete fiercely with Ferrari. Ferruccio Lamborghini is the originator of the company. He was a successful tractor producer before he started manufacturing sports cars. His keen interest in sports cars led him into buying various high-performance vehicles such as Maseratis and Ferraris. He established his own private company in 1963, which is now a subsidiary of Audi AG, a German automobile company. Lamborghini became insolvent in 1978 and was acquired by Chrysler. In 1988, it was sold to Audi AG, who became the sole owner of the company. Lamborghini has gained superiority over models like the four-seat Espada and many other V8 sports cars. It is the company’s mid-engine super cars that have actually earned the fame enjoyed by the company.

  2. DESIGN ELEMENTS OF LAMBORGHINI LOGO The Lamborghini logo was created taking inspiration from Taurus (bull), the zodiac sign of the founder of the company. Ferruccio Lamborghini’s passion for the bullfighting sport is also reflected in the logo. Most of the Lamborghini car models are named after famous bulls.

The logo possesses immense recognition globally. The golden bull with a black background of the Lamborgini logo holds great resemblance to the black horse and yellow background of the Ferrari logo. The resemblance was not merely a coincidence, since Lamborghini has a longstanding enmity with Ferrari.
