Information • Competition is Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Occidental College in Northeast LA • Students must be available ALL DAY • Meetings will continue meet on Tuesdays (except 1st Tuesday of the month), but until 4:30pm. • There are only 5 more meetings before the end of the year– 11/23, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, and once during winter break 12/21 (meeting place is TBA) • There will be two meetings before the competition until 4:30pm – 2/15 and 2/22.

Date for Snack or Juice: ____________________ How I can help? ____________________ • SIGN UP • Everyone: Snack donation- schedule • Provide juice and/or healthy snacks • Help at meetings • Monitor events- Make sure students are following guidelines and parameters and are prepared for competition • Provide a place for meetings • Other ways to help: • Fundraisers • Find and donate college textbooks for events • Participate at competition as a volunteer

  5. Fundraisers • Web Surfathon • Like a walk-a thon • Students take donations, surf the web, and study from 8-3pm • Goal is $100 • Yard Sale • Sell T-Shirts • Chick-Fil-A Night or other Restaurant • Other Ideas???

Competition February 26, 2010 at Occidental College What to Bring • Projects • Chairs • Table • Notes/books • Special snacks • Money • Watch • cell phone • T-shirts • Jacket • Closed-toe shoes • Forms and Documents (not yet ready) • Parental Release Form • Photo Release Form for minors • Photo Release Form for adults Transportation-Meet at South Pointe- Carpool • Volunteers • All teams must bring 1 adult volunteer for every 5 students or team will lose points • Volunteer assignments vary, but generally involve about 2 hours for each volunteer.
