Research Potential (REGPOT-2009-1): (unlocking and developing the research potential in the EU’s convergence and outermost regions) °single public/ private research entity of significant size (MS/AC) (University Department, Faculty, specialised research institute…) °3 or more experienced / knowledgeable partner organisation should participate ° budget per project -> up to 4 Mio. € ° allresearch topics of FP7 covered °implementation of an Action Plan (5 coherent measures MUST be included) - defined by the highest quality - derived from SWOT analysis - in the thematic domains of FP7 °international independant expert evaluation is optional Which call to apply to (2)? budget: 30 Mio. €

Which are the 5 coherent measures? • °Exchange of know-how and experiencewith at least 3 or • more experienced and knowledgeable partner • organisations elsewhere in the EU/ACs • °Recruitment by the selected research entities of • incoming experienced researchers • ° Acquisition, development, maintenance or upgrading of • research equipment • ° Organisation of workshops and conferences to facilitate • knowledge transfer at national and international level • ° Dissemination and promotional activities

REFLECT on IMPACT • Better integration of the selected RTD entities in the ERA • Upgrading the RTD capacity and capability (human • potential: number of new researchers and training of • research staff; improvement of research management; • scientific equipment) and the quality of research carried • out • Improved research capacity for increased contribution to • regional economic and social development • Improvement of the potential to participate in FP7 projects

Research Potential (REGPOT-2009-2): (international cooperation between Europe and Mediterranean Partner Countries) °at least 3 particiants 1 MS/AC convergence/outermost region, 1 MS/AC 1 MPC °budget per project -> up to 1 Mio. € ° allresearch topics of FP7 covered °development of an Action Plan based on a coherent set of measures Which call to apply to (3)? budget: 8 Mio. €
