Failing a module isn’t the end; both ICM and ABE offer resit opportunities. ICM allows one resit per module, while ABE offers unlimited attempts. Remember that ICM has four exams a year, whereas ABE has two, which means waiting longer for resits. Exam results take time, often up to 12 weeks, so if you're struggling, reach out for support. Your visa defines your length of stay, so stay ahead of your course completion. Confirm which modules you need help with, and join our revision groups. Schedule a meeting with Pankaj to plan your preparation.

Exam Guidance • If you fail a module it is not the end of the world! ICM and ABE do allow you to fail your exams. • They give you an opportunity to resit if you need it. There are differences - with ICM you are given one opportunity to resit, with ABE you can fail as many times as you want. • You need to remember that with ICM you have four examination points each year, with ABE you have two. If you fail an ABE module you will have to wait a long time to resit. • You also need to reflect about your own exam performance-it takes a long time to get your results back from ICM and ABE- it is 12 weeks for ICM for example. So if you are sure you have struggled in an examination let us know and we start to prepare you and plan for your resit. • Crucially your length of stay is defined by your VISA so we do not want you to risk running out of time before you successfully complete your course. • As a next step we would ask all students to confirm which modules they are anxious about and which modules they need extra help in. We will use this to organise our Wednesday revision groups. Please go down to Reception and write down your name and the module you want to focus on. • Please book an appointment with Pankaj on Monday afternoon to talk through your revision plans.
