  2. Reflexology is a type of rehabilitation that mainly deals with the many “reflex points” found in the feet, hands and ears that relate to certain organs and glands in the body. What is reflexology ? Using specific techniques; a therapist will stimulate those reflex points to promote health and vitality in the organ.

  3. Risk factors for foot pain 1.Age Foot pain is fairly common in children. Heel pain is common in very active children between the ages of 8-13. Elderly people are at very high risk. With age, feet becomes wider & flatten, & the fat padding on the sole of the foot wears down.

  4. 2. Gender Women are at higher risk than men for severe foot pain, probably because of the style of footwear. 14% of older disabled women reported chronic, severe foot pain. Pregnant women have special foot problems from weight gain, swelling in their feet and ankles.

  7. People with diabetes are at particular risk for severe foot infections. Anyone who is overweight puts increased stress on her feet & is at risk for foot or ankle injuries.
