Introduction to Pieter Stalenhoef • An honors graduate of the Boston University School of Management, Pieter Stalenhoef is an inductee of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. • He has received his Master of Arts degree in Investment Management from Boston University. • He used to be a student senator and member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity during college. • He is presently working as a Financial Planner for Highland Financial Group in Wellesley, MA.

Pieter’s Views about Small and Mid-Cap Global Stocks • Pieter Stalenhoef’s training in investment management from Boston University allows him to analyze small and mid-cap global stocks efficiently. • He explains that small cap stocks belong to companies whose market capitalization ranges between $300 million and $2 billion. • Mid Cap stocks, on the other hand, are offered by larger companies that have a market capitalization between $1 billion and $5 billion.

Pieter’s Professional Journey • Even though Pieter Stalenhoef started his professional journey in 1992 as a sales representative with Provident Bank in Cincinnati, he transitioned into the investment industry when he joined Fidelity Investments two years later. • Before he started working in his current position, he worked for a renowned firm for almost eight years. • He used to handle analysis, valuation, and security selection for a small to mid-cap portfolio ranked a 4-star fund by Morningstar.

More about Pieter • Pieter is actively associated with an advocacy group called CFA Society. • When not working, he prefers spending his time getting indulged in outdoor activities such as tennis, skiing, and cycling. • Pieter is also an aspiring novelist who is currently working on two books.
