  2. A SMART Goal is... Specific! The end result is clear Measurable! Can be counted or seen Attainable! It’s possible to meet with your current resources Results-Oriented! Must be in-line with curriculum and school improvement plan Time-Bound! A specific date is set at which your goal will be evaluated

  3. Why do we use SMART goals? SMART Goals are Focused Short and Long Term Aligned Results-oriented

  4. STEP 1: Think about it Reflect on the current state of your curriculum / classroom management

  5. STEP 2: Chief Challenges Use the data to tell you what are the the top 1 or 2 most urgent concerns, problems or obstacles concerning your curriculum / classroom management.

  6. STEP 3: Goal Setting What are the desired curriculum/classroom management outcomes?

  7. STEP 4: Proposed Solutions What are the possible concrete, practical strategies to help you meet these goals?

  8. STEP 5: Action Plan How might these strategies be implemented?

  9. STEP 6: Implementation Commit to implementing these strategies.
