  1. Temp Users

  2. Setup Temp Users • Allows you to set activation and expiration dates for cards ahead of time • Works only on PXL-500/510 controllers • Since Temp Cards feature does not work on PXL-250s, any Temp Cards/Credentials will always be active on PXL-250 controllers

  3. Open the Setup System Window • Click the Setup System tool bar button OR • Select the Setup > System pull-down menu option

  4. Enable Temp Users • Select the System Options tab • Select • Click in the Temp Users ON checkbox to enable the Temp Users feature (a check mark appears in the box)

  5. Verify Temp Users Enabled • Verify temp users enabled by clicking on

  6. Enroll Cards/Credentials • Enroll the cards/credentials as outlined in the Setup Users presentation

  7. New Temp Users Fields • New fields appear in the Setup Users window for working with Temp Users • Activate Date and Time • Expire Date and Time NOTE: If a card/credential is activated before these fields have been set, the enroll date and time field information will be duplicated in the activate date and time field (this information may be changed)

  8. Enter Pre-set Activation Date and Time • Sets the date and time when an activated card or credential will grant access • If this field is left blank, the card or credential will grant access as soon as it is activated

  9. Enter Pre-set Expire Date and Time • Sets the date and time when an activated card or credential will no longer grant access • If this field is left blank, access will be granted until the card or credential is turned off

  10. Activate Card or Credential • The card or credential must be turned on in order to grant access once the Activation date and time has been reached • Click to save the changes made to the database
