  2. The sibilant sounds • A sibilant sound is a sound that has a whistle like quality. The sibilants are: /s/ say, so /z/ zoo, crazy /ʃ / she, ash /ʒ/ beige, pleasure /tʃ/ chip, each /dʒ/ jaw, age

  3. S belnds: • Avoid adding a vowel sound before an s belnd as in ‘estay’ for stay, or ‘esky’ for sky. This can change the meaning. • Page: 6.5 – 6.6 – 6.8-
